LayerZero's Q4 2025 report underscores a watershed moment for cross-chain interoperability, with transfer volume hitting an all-time high. Activity surged 774% year-over-year, fueled by demand for seamless blockchain communication. The protocol now connects over 160 chains, positioning itself as Web3's backbone for multi-chain infrastructure.

Omnichain Fungible Tokens (OFTs) emerged as the breakout star, with adoption growing 173% annually. April 2025 marked a historic inflection point—OFT volumes eclipsed traditional bridge transfers for the first time. This pivot signals a market preference for native omnichain assets over legacy bridging solutions.

With $87 billion in assets under management and 750+ OFTs, LayerZero demonstrates both liquidity depth and ecosystem trust. Its 703-strong application network rivals top-tier blockchains—were it a standalone chain, it would rank sixth by dApp count. Developers continue flocking to build scalable financial systems atop its infrastructure.
